Who we are
Founded by two adventure riders who explored Africa by motorcycle in the 1990’s. Herbert Schwarz and Jochen Schanz traveled extensively together and designed their own products to solve real-world problems for luggage, protection and navigation. Fast forward 25 years and these two adventure motorcyclists have created the largest product range in the industry and supply Touratech products to nearly 100 countries.

Community
We support the community in several ways. We have been a supporter of Backcountry Discovery Routes since the beginning because of its efforts to create and preserve backcountry riding opportunities for adventure touring and dual-sport motorcycles. We support woman riders through SheADV, a platform for women riders to join a community of other women with similar interests who inspire each other to explore the world on 2 wheels. Touratech is also a member of the AMA and BMW Owners of America. We also put on community events like the Touratech Rally.

Manufactured In-House.
Many Touratech Products are designed, tested, and manufactured in-house by a dedicated operation in the Black Forest of Germany. It is the only operation of its size that is focused exclusively on outfitting adventure motorcycles.
